Late entries will be accepted with a $25 charge.

Steer may be purebred, grade, or crossbred of any recognizable breed. Heifers will not be permitted to show in this class. Steers will not be shown by breed but will be classified by weight.

Each steer must be trained to lead with a halter. Calves unable to be controlled may be eliminated from the competition. This will be determined by the Superintendent.

The number of animals in each class and the number of classes will be determined by the Superintendent and the Executive Board on the number of animals check-in.

Steers will be checked for age by the Superintendent or his assistant. Any steer with two large permanent teeth showing signs of wear will be sifted regardless of other qualifications.

Steers can be shown slick or blocked.

Grand Champion will be chosen for 1st place animals in each weight class. Reserve Grand Champion will be selected from the remaining 1st place animals and the 2nd place animal from the class that produced the Grand Champion.
